Bathroom Wall Lights

Bathroom wall lights help to eliminate shadows in important areas. Used around or over the wash basin, the light they give helps minimise shadows and illuminate gloomy corners. Lighting a bathroom wall creates an illusion of space and adds an inviting look. Use an adjustable wall spotlight for directional light or a bright wall light to eradicate a gloomy space.

Wall mounted bathroom spotlights are practical and versatile. They can be adjusted to provide useful light to see by, or just adding soft lighting to a wall to give an ambience to the room. Alternatively, there is a huge selection of fixed lighting for your bathroom walls, with or without a switch, from traditional to modern, simple to elaborate or anything in between.

IP Rated Wall Lights

Wall mounted IP rated lights play an important role in the overall scheme of the bathroom by helping to eliminate shadows in important areas. Used around or over a wall mounted mirror, for example, the light they give will help to minimise shadows and gloomy corners.

Wall mounted bathroom spotlights can be very useful as they are adjustable and directional so can be pointed exactly where you need them, either giving you useful light to see by or just adding soft lighting to a wall to give an ambience to the room.

In an ideal world, we would have a bare bathroom to work with, but this is rarely the case. If your bathroom is part tiled, then recessing the wall lamps wiring will not be a problem, but what can you do if the bathroom walls are fully tiled?

Consider mounting a mirror at face level of a size that will extend to within 150mm or so from the ceiling. The wiring can then be taken down from the roof space and surface mounted. This method is particularly effective when using an over mirror light and enables the wiring to be hidden behind the mirror if you wanted to fit wall lighting either side.

Please remember that all bathroom fittings, including wall lighting, must be suitable IP rated if used in bathroom zones 1 and 2. For help in transforming your bathroom, please have a look at our comprehensive guide to IP rating for bathroom lights.
